Abdullah, Telephone, Michael Jackson, and Dallas,Texas; a seemingly disconnected list but actually the names of some of the camels on my recent trip to Egypt. Riding a camel has been one of the things on my life list since I was small, so this was a dream fulfilled. Egypt is such an extraordinary place; the antiquity so much a part of everyday life there that it seems a physical presence, like the morning haze from the desert sands. To be in the desert, in the shadow of the Great Pyramid of Cheops, swaying along high up on the back of my trusty friend Abdullah - just one of a hundred unforgettable memories of this amazing land.
