Did you catch Marie Wilson on Diane Sawyer's show last week? I thought Marie was great, but the segment as a whole left a bit to be desired. I always feel that way about the news on TV though.
It's great to celebrate the successes of women who have managed to break the glass ceiling (it's what the Glass Hammer is all about!) - and the "16 Women at the Top" definitely deserve our recognition. But the segment completely glossed over the rest of the women, treating the wage gap almost as if it were a non-issue. Even as Marie explained how the success of the 16 women CEOs doesn't equal gender parity in the workplace and the end to job discrimination, the narration and reporting seemed to imply it anyway.
