Entrepreneurs Networking Luncheon

While there maybe nothing funny about most of our finances, it doesn’t hurt to have a sense of humor about them. For a new perspective on investing Susan L. Hirschman, author of “Does This Make My Assets Look Fat? A Woman’s Guide to Finding Financial Empowerment and Success” will be the guest speaker at the October Entrepreneurs Luncheon.

Susan believes that the principles for dropping two dress sizes are similar to saving for retirement. Just as indulging in a giant piece of cake may feel good but sets back a diet, mindless spending may offer instant gratification but impede your long-term financial goals. In her book she suggests that many of the strategies that dieters use—stripping down to see your financial shape, working with a Buddy—can help women achieve financial fitness too.

Susan was a managing director at a leading wealth management firm. With an MBA, CPA, CFP, CFA and CLU she is an acknowledged expert in personal finance and her book offers woman a roadmap to take control of their own financial lives.
